Please note, you must be running MacOS X 10.3 or later for this
configuration to work. We highly recommend using your Software Update

- Make sure your MasterID account is active. You must have an active MasterID to use the University wireless networks.
If you are already using your MasterID account to log into the Parking website, WVU Central, or other MasterID applications, then your wireless access is already active. Proceed to step 2.
If you need to activate your account, or if you are not certain if your account is active, visit http://adact.wvu-ad.wvu.edu/ and submit your information there.
Once your account is activated, an email with your login name and a randomized password will be sent to your GroupWise or MIX email address within a few minutes. When you receive this email, visit http://masterreset.wvu.edu within 72 hours and update your account with a new password you choose. Your wireless account is not active until you update your password.
- In the Upper right hand corner of your screen click on the Airport Icon and select
"Other" from the main menu.

- Fill in the Closed Network dialog with network name WVU.Encrypted, wireless security type WPA2 Enterprise, and your MasterID credentials. Click OK.
- A certificate window will appear. (Only certificates for wvu.edu servers should be accepted.)
Click Continue.
- At this point you should be connected. If you recieve an
"Authentication Failed" message please be sure that you are using the
correct Username and Password.
