About the Encrypted Network
The WVU.Encrypted network uses the WiFi Protected Access protocol suite to authenticate and encrypt all wireless traffic. WPA2-Enterprise is the more secure and preferred protocol; WPA-Enterprise is also supported for older clients. The internal protocols are AES, PEAP and MSCHAPv2.
The WPA2 protocol is built into most current notebook clients, and the older WPA is supported on many more. WPA supplicants are also available on some palmtops and smartphones; however, if you are running an older operating system or if you have difficulty connecting your device to the Encrypted network you may wish to use WVU.MountainAir instead.
