OIT Workshop Parking Information

For budgetary reasons and in order to be consistent with current WVU Human Resources Training and Development session practices, temporary parking permits or parking validation will not be available from the instructor for any OIT computer workshop or 1-1 tutorial.

Evansdale Library Workshops:

  • If you have a decal for any WVU parking area, you can park in Area 54 behind the Evansdale library. If you have a full-time employee hanging tag for the One Waterfront garage, you can also park in Area 54.
  • Short-term parking is available at a low hourly rate next to the WVU Greenhouse. Fifty cents per hour for up to 2.5 hours; two dollars for three hours.
  • Free parking is available at the Coliseum; a bus will take you to the PRT Station area, leaving the Coliseum every 10 minutes during the school year and every 15 minutes during the summer. Allow about 30 minutes for the bus ride and the subsequent walk to the Evansdale Library.
  • Take the PRT from the Health Sciences Center or the Downtown campus to the Engineering Station. If you have a WVU staff or student ID card, you have free access to the PRT; otherwise it will be 50 cents one way (you can use any combination of quarters, nickels, dimes – but no change will be given).
  • Have a friend or co-worker drop you off.
  • If you are attending an evening workshop, parking is free in Area 54 after 5pm.

White Hall and Electronic Classroom Workshops on the downtown campus:

  • If you have a decal for an Evansdale campus parking lot or if you have a full-time employee hanging tag for the One Waterfront garage, you can park in Area 7 next to Stansbury Hall or in Area 5 on the Falling Run Road.
  • Take the PRT to the Beechurst station. A WVU staff or student ID card gives free access to the PRT.
  • Short-Term parking is available at the Mountainlair Parking Garage, located on Prospect Street, Morgantown, on an hourly rate fee basis. Demand far exceeds available space.
  • Hourly parking is available in downtown parking lots and parking garages for 50 cents/hour. Allow 5-15 minutes to walk to campus.
  • Have a friend or co-worker drop you off.
  • Walk: If you are at One Waterfront, it is about a 20 minute walk to the training lab using the rail trail for part of the journey.
  • If you are attending an evening workshop, you can park in Area 1 or Area 4 for free after 5pm.
