Most scheduled OIT workshops are conducted in the Academic Information Services High Tech Classrooms in the Evansdale Library Computing Center or in the White Hall Computing Center (details below). Special request sessions for faculty or departments can be scheduled in a departmental training lab on campus, or at an off-campus location such as Jackson's Mill or a WVU regional or branch campus.
The Evansdale Library is a three story white building with black windows, near the WVU Greenhouse and Engineering buildings. The computer lab is on the ground floor with its own entrance on the side of the building.

We cannot write temporary parking permits for OIT Workshops. If you already have a valid WVU parking permit, you can park in Area 54 behind the building. Parking permits for Health Sciences, downtown parking lots, Law School, and other Evansdale lots allow you to park in Area 54 for the length of a workshop. There is a short term parking lot next to the WVU Greenhouse where you can park for 50 cents/hour or $2 for 3 hours. If you are taking the PRT, go to the Engineering station and turn left after leaving the station. See the Parking Information Page for more details on parking alternatives.
Enter the building using the side entrance at the foot of the concrete stairs. Turn left. Enter the training lab (G-14) from inside the student computer lab. Floor plan for Evansdale Computing Center.
This computing center is on the west end of White Hall on the downtown campus, near where University Avenue and Willey Street intersect. Enter the building using the Computing Center entrance. Turn left for the stairs or enter through the double doors and turn left to reach the elevator. Training labs 1 and 2 are on the third floor. You cannot get to the computer center or the training labs from the older classroom portion of White Hall.
The closest WVU parking lot is Area 1; temporary permits are not available from OIT. If you are attending a workshop in White Hall that starts after 5pm, you can park in Area 1 or Area 4 for free. See the Parking Information Page for details on parking alternatives.
