GroupWise Messenger allows individuals with valid accounts to communicate with one another on WVU Campus. The functionality is similar to that of other instant messenger type clients, but the partcipation is focused on other WVU faculty and staff who have GroupWise accounts.
In order to utilize GroupWise Messenger, it is necessary to determine if your unit participates in this service and to have an account setup. GroupWise messenger accounts are separate from GroupWise e-mail accounts and are subject to a different activation process. To see if your unit participates, and to request an account if so, please contact your GroupWise Unit Coordinator. Once a GroupWise Messenger account has been activated, it is then necessary to download and install the appropriate GroupWise Messenger client for your type of computer.
