During regular business hours (8:15am to 4:45pm M-F) please contact the OIT help desk at 293-4444. Choose option #1 and give the help desk attendant a detailed description concerning your trouble or problem.
Changes to a unit's telephone service or the way telephone service is being charged must be requested by your department's contact (to find out who that is, inquire with your Expert Business Office) through the OIT Help Desk.
That person must then contact the Help Desk by either calling 293-4444 or via email to OITHelp@wvu.edu.
Information needed for orders should include the following:
Upon receipt of the request from the Help Desk, Telecommunications will then issue orders to the appropriate vendor(s). The time frame for installations and changes varies depending on the type of work to be performed. It is recommended that all requests be submitted at least three weeks prior to the date the work must be completed.
If your office or home phone number changes, please notify the University operator who will update the WVU operators directory assistance file. If you believe that the University operator may not have your telephone number listed, please dial zero and give your full name, address, and telephone number.
Please note that providing the University operator with changes to your office or home telephone number does not change official University records.
Faculty and staff should update their directory information with their Expert Business Office or online at http://intranet.finance.wvu.edu/eds/
