Support Services
OIT
Support Services has six teams that provide a range of services
for WVU students, faculty, staff, and administrators:
- Academic Information Services (AIS): computer labs, test scanning, student evaluation
of instruction (SEI)
- Classroom Technology(CTec) : support for electronic classrooms on campus
- Help Desk: phone support,
ticket handling for all OIT services, support for WVNET
Internet Access accounts, desk side support for Administrative
Network users
- LAN Services: Administrative Network accounts and wireless users, Windows servers belonging to OIT, GroupWise system administration, and MasterID (formerly known as AD or Active Directory) accounts.
- Software Licensing Information
Center (SLIC): coordinates software purchases campus-wide.
- Technology Support Center (TSC): jointly reports to OIT and Student Affairs; hardware
purchase advice, ResNet support for residence halls, computer
repairs for students, computer maintenance program.
