Service Call

To place a repair call, go to http://intranet.wvu.edu/oitcs/repair.htm

Note: the WVU Intranet is accessible only to those accessing the Internet while on campus or from certain ISPs.

To speak to someone about your problem, phone the OIT Helpdesk at 293-4444 between 8 a.m. and 5p.m. Service is not available outside these hours, on weekends, or on University holidays.

When you place a service call, be prepared to provide the WVU Asset Tag number or the WVU Maintenance Tag number found on the item as well as billing information including your department's post office box, Departmental Activity, Fund, and Function codes. You will be asked to confirm the information that appears in our database for the problem device. This check is to make sure device information (particularly location) is correct. You will normally be contacted within one working day by Computer Repair. Our staff member will request a time when someone familiar with the problem can be available and when the item will be accessible.

Please provide as much pertinent information about the problem as possible. When placing the call, provide us with any error codes that may have appeared, troubleshooting steps you have taken, and other information you think would be appropriate.
