Items covered by the OIT Computer Repair program for WVU-owned equipment.
Computers
The Technology Support Center will endeavor to support any
WVU-owned equipment. Currently, we have warranty service arrangements
with Dell, Gateway, and Apple. Our support vendor can deliver
warranty repair on Toshiba and HP products. We can also perform
out-of-warranty repairs on these items. Support of any other
manufacturer’s warranty or out-of-warranty repairs will
be attempted on a per incident basis. Our support of these
products might be limited.
Printers and Plotters
All current Hewlett Packard and Lexmark products are covered
under our existing contract. Most major manufacturer’s
products will be considered for support.
We are currently not able to facilitate any Xerox repairs.
All Xerox products must be referred to a Xerox service provider.
As with computers, support of any other manufacturer’s
equipment might be limited.
Servers and crucial network printers should be covered by a separate vendor contract
Peripherals
Any peripheral attached to a covered computer will be considered
a part of that computer and will be considered for coverage.
Note: Coverage of any equipment will be decided by mutual agreement
between the Technology Support Center and the repair service
contractor.
Older items may be removed as parts become unavailable.
