Computer Training Labs

ATTENTION:

The White Hall Computer Classrooms will be closed as of Monday May 12, 2008 until further notice.  The White Hall building is undergoing renovations during the Summer Semesters.  We hope to reopen the Classrooms in time for the start of the Fall Semester; however, that will be determined by Facilities Management at a later date.

The WVU Office of Information Technology Support Services offers three computer equipped classrooms that can be reserved by Faculty and Staff for short term activities and training courses. The facilities are intended to support courses without computers in the regular classroom.

These labs are located on both campuses, two downtown and one on the Evansdale campus. The downtown labs are on the 3rd floor of the White Hall Computing Center. The Evansdale lab is on the ground floor of the Evansdale Library.

To reserve a classroom please read the following policies:

  • Classrooms can be reserved by Faculty and Staff for short term activities and training courses.
  • The classroom facilities are intended for training courses and special projects.
  • Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
  • You will assume financial responsibility for damage or theft related to your groups use of the classroom.
  • Students can not reserve or supervise a classroom.
  • Classrooms should never be left unattended.
  • Access to the classrooms is managed by the lab staff. Please arrive early to allow enough time to open doors and start the projector.
  • Reservations that require modification of the standard lab image should be made 30 days in advance.
  • If you require software installed you must provide a written license that indicates the number of workstations and installation media. Academic Information Services will use your software with the understanding that the licenses you provide are available for our exclusive use during the development period and your reservation period. These items should be delivered to the Assistant Director, Academic Information Services no less than 30 days before the event.
  • Do not use the e-mail address below to check the availability of the classrooms. Determine when you need a classroom, check the current calendar, allow 15 to 30 minutes between classes, then complete the form and wait for a reply.
  • Reservations made and then broken or missed may prevent you from making future appointments.
  • You must clean up after your group. Throw away trash and return the chairs under the desks.
  • Maximum Capacity for the White Hall Classroom 1 = 28 seats, White Hall Classroom 2 = 16 seats. Pending availability these two classrooms can be combined for a total of 44 seats.
  • Maximum Capacity for the Evansdale Classroom = 16 seats.

By clicking the following links you accept the conditions listed above. You can check the current calendar to see what events are already scheduled for your date. Gold appointments are in White Hall. Blue appointments are in Evansdale. Grey appointments are pending, but not yet approved.

I accept the terms and want to make a reservation in the White Hall Computing Center.
