As WVU employees, we are responsible for protecting the information we access at work.  As consumers, we want to protect our personal information.  Do you want to learn a few simple steps you can take to better protect WVU and your personal information?  If so, please join us for this three-hour workshop where you will learn to:

  • Better protect your identity and your computer(s);
  • Surf the Web safely;
  • Avoid e-mail dangers;
  • Secure WVU and personal information;
  • Combat viruses and other forms of spyware;
  • Create a more secure password;
  • Adhere to copyright laws; and,
  • Compute safely outside of the University.

The theme for this week is “Keep your Future Safe.” Throughout the month of October, The Office of Information Security  will be providing tips to keep your computer, identity and future safe.
