ESD Supported Systems

eIDR – Electronic Institutional Document Repository
The Electronic Institutional Document Repository system is an Information Repository system that encompasses the Electronic Thesis and Defense (eTD) system, the Electronic Honors Thesis (eHT) system, and the Electronic Scholarly Resources Archive (eSRA) system. This system provides the mechanism for submission and approval of eIDR documents by WVU students/faculty, after which they are searchable as part of the collection of eTD, eHT and eSRA documents.

eSEI – Electronic Student Evaluation of Instruction
The Electronic Student Evaluation of Instruction system is an application that allows instructors to deliver evaluations consistent with those delivered in class. This system provides students with the ability to respond to the evaluations anonymously, and provides instrutors and deans with the ability to view statistical reports for evaluation results.

eVolve – (website under development)
Evolve is a Software Development Lifecycle methodology developed by ESD, and is based on IEEE standards for SDLC development. The purpose of eVolve is to provide application developers throughout WVU with the tools and resources necessary to standardize their development processes. eVolve is still under development, and as the name implies, is meant to adapt to the changing needs of application developers and WVU as a whole.

iDEAS – Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse
Information for Decision Enabling and Analysis is a knowledge repository in support of the WVU Division of Planning.

ROADS – Research Office Administrative Data Systems
Research Office Administrative Data Systems is the WVURC system for management of proposal and award data maintained by the Office of Sponsored Programs(OSP) as well as all protocol data maintained by the Office of Research Compliance(ORC), which was migrated from SPIRES on WVNET to Oracle.

WVU eCampus
WVU eCampus is an an application which delivers online course content to students attending WVU. ESD currently maintains the WVU eCampus Information Website, which is used a Content Management System powered by Apache Lenya. This Content Management System provides WVU eCampus Administrators the ability to create, update, and delete pages within the information website using a GUI interface.

WVUIT SEI – WVUIT Student Evaluation of Instruction
The West Virginia University Institute of Technology Student Evaluation of Instruction provides students at WVU IT with the ability to respond to course evaluations online.
