To develop efficient, effective, dependable, user-friendly, visually appealing applications meeting the operational requirements of the University community through the use of both current and cutting edge technological tools to facilitate the University’s mission of teaching, research, service and technology development
Adopt the philosophy of strategic planning as the methodology for management of administrative systems development in information technology and advocate this philosophy University-wide
Provide the development support and services necessary to create and sustain a technologically rich University environment that includes necessary resources, capabilities, standards, policies and procedures, and encourage the incorporation of efficient, effective, dependable, user-friendly, visually appealing applications using current and cutting edge technological tools into that environment
Support OIT’s goal to promote University-wide implementation of appropriate new computing technologies as tools for more efficient and effective accomplishment of the University mission
Provide enterprise system development support to the University community by promoting and practicing open, interactive communication and cooperation between all stakeholders of supported application systems and projects
Develop the organization and staffing necessary to meet requirements of OIT
Nurture the Enterprise Systems Development staff by providing challenging and meaningful work, proper resources and professional tools, a good work environment, appropriate recognition and compensation, and clear, frequent and honest communication
